Fair Market Value of $4,000. Lana Shuster original painting titled "Summer Dance". Abstract, mixed media on canvas wrapped wood frame. 48 x 48.
"“Summer Dance” is an abstract expressionist painting that vibrates with the energy and warmth of the summer season. The composition is a dynamic interplay of shapes and colors, where bold, sweeping brushstrokes create a sense of movement and rhythm, evoking the carefree spirit of a summer day.
Influenced by the works of early 20th-century abstract artists such as Joan Mitchell and Wassily Kandinsky, this painting embraces a non-representational form, allowing viewers to interpret the imagery subjectively. The use of vibrant yellows, greens, and blues conveys the lively atmosphere of nature in full bloom, while the occasional splashes of pink and orange add a playful and festive touch, reminiscent of summer festivities and dances.
The meaning behind “Summer Dance” lies in its ability to capture the essence of summer’s fleeting moments of joy and exuberance. The overlapping forms and vivid color palette suggest a dance of light and shadows, perhaps reflecting memories or impressions of summer landscapes, gatherings, or celebrations. The abstract nature of the painting encourages the audience to immerse themselves in the colors and forms, inviting personal interpretations and emotional responses.
Overall, “Summer Dance” is a celebration of color, movement, and the joyous spirit of the summer season, rendered in a style that merges abstraction with emotional expression."
