Jim Himsworth is a fine artist, portrait painter and art teacher.

He graduated from Philadelphia college of art in 1986 where he majored in illustration. JIM’S PORTRAIT AND FIGURE PAINTING EDUCATION CONTINUED AT THE PENNSYLVANIA ACADEMY OF THE FINE ARTS, THE UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS AND STUDIO INCAMMINATI UNDER NELSON SHANKS. 

jim was awarded first prize for his portrait "Red" in the American Society of Portrait artist’s 2001 International portrait competition. Since then, he continues to receive awards and commissions for his portraits and fine art paintings.

His work has been exhibited at the michener art museum, woodmere art museum, Reading Public museum, the art student’s league, The Philadelphia Sketch club, the rittenhouse square annual fine arts exhibition, west chester university, Phillip’s mill gallery, sabine rose gallery, mixed media gallery, aldie mansion. 

​He is a member of the Portrait society of America.
