Svetlana Shkuratova
Svetlana is a self-taught Russian-Canadian visual artist based in Vernon, BC. Her art practice revolves around ceramics, printmaking, painting and photography. Trained as a philologist and an English teacher in Russia, Svetlana discovered her artistic side after moving to Canada in 2004. Working with different media and finding points of connection between them opens exciting opportunities to explore her creativity through multiple lenses. Svetlana teaches at the Vernon Community Arts Centre and displays her work in exhibitions and art fairs throughout the Okanagan, including as a Featured Member Exhibition at Gallery Vertigo in 2025.
