Over five decades as a maker, Doug Alcock has worked primarily with found, forged and fabricated steel, cast glass, wood, stone–anything that translates well into an assemblage-based sculpture practice. Cast glass, forged steel, fluid, solid, hot, cold, translucent, opaque–these elements share a history that has brought them together to play with light and darkness in constant change.
