Juve Furtado
Born in Portugal, Juve spent 32 years as an educator in Winnipeg before retiring to Vernon in 2006 to explore his interest in art and photography. An AFCA Signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists, he enjoys photographing seasonal landscapes, rustic scenes, and wildlife, all of which inspire his self-taught watercolour paintings. His style is described as realism, although he enjoys taking the liberty to exaggerate both light and colour in his work.
